All our bird boxes come completely assembled and ready to watch, with the highly sensitive
CCD colour camera focused and in position (see below for details).
They are delivered with a 20 metre cable, power supply, SCART connector,
and three entrance hole sizes to suit the needs of a wide range of garden birds.
The entrance hole panel can also be completely removed to suit birds such as Robins.
At the television end, connection is either via RCA/Phono sockets or a SCART socket that all modern televisions
should have (to allow the connection to devices such as DVD players). We supply you with a SCART adapter that
allows the RCA/Phono connectors on our cables to attach to your television's SCART socket.
We have decided not to continue selling a wireless bird box for a few reasons. We investigated a number
of wireless transmitters and receivers and have concluded that they did not match the cabled equipment
for quality of image. Also, wireless computer equipment (yours or your neighbour's),
rain, leaves and walls all interfere with the signal. A cabled system also eliminates the need
for batteries and recharging equipment and lastly, it's all much cheaper.
Possible extras you might be interested in are:
An extra box to increase your chance of getting birds nesting. If the birds decide to nest in one
and not the other then you can move the lid with the camera attached to the box with the birds in.
You may want to position your box more than 20 metres away from your house,
in which case you can buy extra 20 metre lengths of cable up to a realistic maximum of 100 metres.
In our experiments we would say (although it's hard to quantify) to expect a loss in image quality
of about 5% per extra section of cable.
Click here to see pictures taken with different length cables.
All prices are VAT free but we do have to charge for postage.
If out of stock, please note the re-stocking dates.

Connecting to a Desktop PC
~ Special Offer ~
We are an iCode systems approved business partner which enables us to provide you with the technology
to view and record your pictures on a desktop computer.
To do this you will need a video capture card that you fit inside the (desktop) computer and iCode's i-Catcher software,
both of which we use to record the activity in our bird boxes and up-load the pictures to our web site.
If you are going to have just one camera we advise getting the i-Catcher Wildlife software.
To handle multiple cameras you would need to buy extra copies of i-Catcher Wildlife and then
i-Catcher Console is probably more
appropriate for your needs especially if you are buying a Euresys Video Capture Card (see the "Bundle" offer below).
~ Free Postage and Packing for any order containing i-Catcher Software or a Euresys Video Capture Card ~
