They are developing rapidly into little blue tits, their eyes and wings are really taking shape...starting to notice changes through the day....Its all exciting

With the increase in feeding, comes the inevitable. Mrs Blue is well prepared

Mrs Blue having a few strong words with Mr Blue...No more nipping off to the pub for a 'swift' one...

Mr Blue puts in, Mrs Blue takes out....The constant cycle continues with an amazing amount of dedication...

The wings are noticeably bigger and look like they are capable of flight....

Never bite of more than you can chew. And it's never a good idea to bite the beak that feeds...

From one extreme to another. They occupy less space when quiet.
Soon the box will be a tight squeeze...

Starting to lose the pinkness of a new born chick and develop the downy feathers of a healthy young bird.

The feeding continues, as the days go on. It's interesting to note the subtle differences between this and last year's batch of Blue's. The chick's development, the feeding and nesting style...

One of the chick's having a good stretch, giving us the chance to see just how quickly they have developed over the past few days...

To day we see the first attempts at flight, as a few of the larger chicks stretch their wings with intent. The feeding appears to have slowed down and so has the presence of Mr Blue. It looks like the attention is now on the penultimate stage of their training, leaving the box!

Exhausted by the days arduous schedule the chicks settle down to a well-deserved nap.... well done chicks!
