The bird box is on the tree and wired up, all we need now are visitors.

Jan 6th
The first visitor arrived and spent a minute
inspecting the property. Will (s)he make an offer or does the other half
have to have a look first. No room for a loft conversion as the camera is up there.

3 days later a return visit to examine the hole in the floor.

Jan 11th
2 days later another visit.

Jan 12th
1 day later a visit to try performing some contortions.

We seemed to be getting a lot of uninteresting pictures of an empty box. I
spent a bit of time
just watching it and noticed that there was a lot of interest from the birds
at the entrance, mostly from Mr. Blue trying to impress Mrs. Blue with his
pecking skills. This was causing the light in the box to
change so much that the motion detection software thought there was
something in the box to take a picture of.
Adjusted the detection sensitivity and for a few days got no pictures at all
so changed the sensitivity again with much waggling of a finger through
the entrance hole and instructions over the telephone intercom.

The last few weeks the pictures have been unremarkable. There have been plenty
generated by activity at the entrance. However, today yielded a few that
looked slightly different to our inexperienced eyes:- the wings were
spread

The visits are definitely becoming more frequent, although not always by the
same bird! Thanks Guy!

The box was very busy today with 5 separate visits inside and many more on the
outside. We were thrilled to bits to see both Mr. and Mrs. Blue.
